Mom, Yom Huledet Sameach!

My mom is the best!
A few things about her:
She is always making jokes. (Listen to this one mom:
"How many Orthodox Jews does it take to change a lightbulb?"
"CHANGE?"
Get it? Our Judaism teacher Ophir told us that one, so I know its kosher)
She made me a great laptop case that everyone in Jerusalem asks about because they think it's so cute.
She always, always, always thinks about her kids before doing anything for herself.
Her favorite movie is Much Ado About Nothing.
She has her own business (and is quite the business woman)
She loves Diet Pepsi (or Coke, but really just likes the diet part)
She eats toast and hot cocoa for breakfast more often than not.
She is really talented at sewing AKA she can whip up a whole quilt in just a few days.
She is the best mom for my brother Jordan.
She is a great cook and I've especially missed her enchiladas while I've been here. And taco soup.
She raised me in the gospel, which is something I will be eternally grateful for.
Today is my mom's birthday, so I recruited some of my friends to help me send her a message. I had to invert it because of the normal colors, but I hope you can at least kind of read it.

I love you mom. I'm glad you were born.

Happy Birthday! Yom Huledet Sameach!
(PS This phrase helped me ace my Hebrew midterm today. Thanks!)

  2. Tali--Thanks SO MUCH!! That was a sweet post, and of course it made me cry. I read it right after we talked, and then I had to run out so I didn't get a chance to write back. You are the best, and I am proud to be your Mom!
P.S. Tell your friends thanks too!
