Only one more week...

See? I'm SEW Awesome.

Me and Andrea last year at QR. Typical.

These days at the end of March and beginning of April will always mean so much to me for a few reasons, but one of them is QUILT RETREAT.

I love quilt retreat.
Not just because I get to miss 2 days of work and school.
Not just because I get to do nothing but sew and laugh for 4 days straight.
Not just because I get to make beautiful things and eat great food.

I love it because I get to be with the people I love. I get to learn more about them. I get to make really lame jokes about sewing machines and rabbits and no one can say anything. I get to wear a shirt that says: "I'm SEW Awesome" and it's normal.

I love staying up until Andrea makes us go to bed. I love seeing what everyone makes every year and how proud they are. I hate it when I mess up because I'm trying to go Brockbank speed and I have to unpick EVERYTHING (A common occurrence). I love it when we all come together to make something with a little piece from everyone.

I love that I get to be with my sister at retreat this year. I will try to cheer her up instead of her always cheering other people up.

I love you Sarah. I've been thinking about you this week.

Some Things

1. I have a blog now.

2. One of my life goals is to go to all 50 states. 16 down, 34 to go.

3. Once I was in Pita Pit and my steak fajita pita was SO delicious that I stood up and started applauding the Pita Pit people. (Okay, that happened last month. It was seriously the best thing I've ever eaten)

4. Right now my iPod only plays music out of one headphone. It is terrid. (a word that I accidentally made up freshman year. Terrible + Horrid.)

5. I love doing things that make me sound older than I actually am. AKA sewing, staying home on a Friday night to hang out with my family, and driving an Oldsmobile.

6. I am always really scared of falling down stairs and I take extra precautions (staring at my feet, holding onto the railing, etc.)

7. "Biz" is my all-time favorite word and I use it in the place of everything. Example: "Amanda brought me some flowers. She is the biz (best)." OR "He was all up in my biz (face)" OR "I dropped the biz (cup) and now there is milk all over the floor."

8. I went on a church history tour last semester and now I am obsessed with that stuff.

9. I couldn't parallel park to save my life.

10. I have a ridiculous memory. Mckelle thinks it's my best quality. The only thing is that I remember things that matter 0%. Like the date Andrea and I had our first quiz in the testing center (9/21/2007), all of the words to Ice Ice Baby, and the name of the person whose conversation I overheard in line at the testing center a few months ago(Matt). I guess having a good memory can important, but I didn't choose it. I was just born that way.
