See? I'm SEW Awesome.

Me and Andrea last year at QR. Typical.
These days at the end of March and beginning of April will always mean so much to me for a few reasons, but one of them is QUILT RETREAT.
I love quilt retreat.
Not just because I get to miss 2 days of work and school.
Not just because I get to do nothing but sew and laugh for 4 days straight.
Not just because I get to make beautiful things and eat great food.
I love it because I get to be with the people I love. I get to learn more about them. I get to make really lame jokes about sewing machines and rabbits and no one can say anything. I get to wear a shirt that says: "I'm SEW Awesome" and it's normal.
I love staying up until Andrea makes us go to bed. I love seeing what everyone makes every year and how proud they are. I hate it when I mess up because I'm trying to go Brockbank speed and I have to unpick EVERYTHING (A common occurrence). I love it when we all come together to make something with a little piece from everyone.
I love that I get to be with my sister at retreat this year. I will try to cheer her up instead of her always cheering other people up.
I love you Sarah. I've been thinking about you this week.
"Everything's okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end."
Talia. You are sew awesome. I love your blog. I am also even more grateful I dont have a final next saturday now. This way I can see you before you leave for your retreat. By the way the retreat sounds magical.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I think we need to learn how to make normal faces in pictures. You'd think that 20+ years of life would have taught us, but no!
